Ahoy There! Welcome to the March edition of the Gilligan's Island Fan Club! We had a lot of folks compliment us on our search engine located at the top of our main page. If you can't find what you're looking for, try the search. There are over 100 pages here, and sometimes I even get lost when I try to find info. Try it out for size, you'll see that it works great! If you would like to see anything else added to our site, please drop me a note. I mentioned it in our last newsletter, but I enjoyed it so much, I thought I would remind you again. There is an on-line Jigsaw and Crossword that is fantastic! You can play it here. http://members.xoom.com/jetsfan1/gilligan.htm In the last newsletter I said that Douglas Walter sent me the Isle Thing song. It was actually Douglas Watson. You can here this funny Gilligan song here at: http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/islething.html Did anybody see Bob Denver at the Miami International Boat Show? If so, let us know how it went. Many people have volunteered their services as translators for the site. However, I've been told that AltaVista has their own translator that worked out pretty well. It's not perfect, but atleast you can get the message across. Check it out if you ever need anything translated. http://babelfish.altavista.com/cgi-bin/translate Tina Louise has a CD out called "It's Time For Tina." Although none of the songs are from Gilligan's Island, there are a few in there that sound as if she is singing to Gilligan. You can even listen to a song on our page. We picked the best one that sounded like she was still on the island. Check it out for yourself at: http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/tinatime.html Bride's magazine contacted our Mary Ann about a question and added it their April/May '99 issue on page 644. (What a big magazine) And for the late breaking news: Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) has her very own web site! WOW! Not too much about Gilligan's Island "Mary Ann", but that's in the making. Her site consists mostly of her acting boot camp. Check her site out to see what I'm talking about. http://www.dawn-wells.com Dreama Denver contacted us and wanted you to know that they have added more info to their site. "The Unseen Pilot" page, "Vintage GI" and "Meet the Crew" with a whole new look that includes the American Icon Awards and new pictures and info of the castaways at the White House. They really have a nice page, so if you would like to pop on by Bob Denver's site, just go here: www.bobdenver.com Does anybody have a copy of the 1988 taping of the "Late Show" with the whole cast? If anybody does, could you please let me know? I wanted to put the thing up on the page so that we all could listen to the very last time the whole crew was together. Thankx in advance. See Bob Denver starring on "The Love Boat". The captain hopes to reunite a poor woman (Eleanor Parker) with her daughter; a man (Bob Denver) tries to win back his ex-wife. March 10 at 10am and 7pm Eastern Time on the Nostalgia Channel. Tina Louise stars in The Good Guys and the Bad Guys, Mar 23 at 05:15A MAXE2- Cinemax #2, and How to Commit Marriage, Feb 28 at 11:10A on the LOVE Channel. On Feb 28, we staged a trivia contest in our Chat Room. We weren't really sure how it would turn out, but we do have a winner! Island Girl won hands down and scored the highest for the Quiz. Great job Island Girl! For those of you who left the Chat early, sorry. Bob Denver and his wife Dreama were also there for the Chat. We'll contact them and see if they want to set up a chat session with all of you good folks. Thanks Bryan for putting it together. Instead of trying to get people together when our newsletter is sent out, we'll just set a weekly day for everybody to meet. Saturday nite at 10pm Eastern Time will be the chat schedule until further notice. We'll try this out to see how it works. Sunday nite conflicted with the Simpson's and the X-files. I hear those are 2 shows that are watched religiously. I wished we had a TV. Maybe the Professor can make our radio into one some day. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/chat.html Pacific Time = 7:00pm Mountain Time = 8:00pm Central Time = 9:00pm Eastern Time = 10:00pm Time to go. The funniest thing just happened! I found this "Eye of the Idol" thing and the Skipper told me that I had three wishes! I already wished for 2 gallons of ice cream, and now I'm gonna wish us off the island. WOW! See you on the mainland soon! Willy Gilligan Webmaster Gilligan's Island Fan Club www.gilligansisle.com
