Ahoy Maties! Welcome to the December edition of the Gilligan's Island Fan Club! Let's cut to the chase and tell you some exciting news about what's coming up in December! We have recently been contacted by E!TV and they have informed us that a two- hour documentary will air on Sunday, December 12 at 9:00pm Eastern and Pacific Time. This two-hour show will contain interviews with the castaways and never before seen home movies shot by Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) from the set of "Gilligan's Island." This show will be as rare as the never before seen Pilot episode shown in 1992! According to the TV Guide, it will also air Monday, Dec 13 at 12am, 10am and 4pm. I would catch the December 12th showing first, just in case. The show will be called "Gilligan's Island - The E! True Hollywood Story." Thanks to all who have sent me mail telling me about this event. I was actually notified by our own Professor first, then others let me know even before we were contacted by E! Entertainment. You guys are really on the ball! And now for some lighter TV shows. "The Castaways on Gilligan's Island" will air on TNT December 22nd at 1:30am and again at 1:30pm. It's the one about when the rescued castaways return to their former island home to open a posh vacation resort. One more TV show, "Leslie Uggams." Bob Denver (Gilligan) will appear December 1st at 12am on the The Nostalgia Channel. I've contacted Alaska Airlines about their Professor commercial, and they told me that they were unable to supply us a copy of it. Bummer. I guess we'll just have to wait until somebody can record it. :-( Want to purchase Gilligan's Island video's? You can buy each VHS for $8.94, and it comes with two episodes per cassette. Here you go: http://www.gilligansisle.com/video.html We have recently revamped our fan club application section to allow a different server called "Listbot" to handle all subscribing members. This will help us out tremendously as we were getting over 100 e-mail failures each month which had to be deleted manually (yuk). Mary Ann was handling all of the joining requests, and this will take a huge load off her back. Many thankx for a great job she did for all of those years! Now she can focus on more important things such as tending to the garden, and preparing those coconut cream pies! A few of your e-mail addresses slipped by, so if you notice that you received this newsletter twice, please let me know so I can delete one of your e-mail addresses from our database. Note: Listbot is new to us, so you may experience a formatting problem reading this newsletter. We'll try new formatting next time if this occurs. Let's all get together and have a CHAT session this Saturday the 4th! Please go here for more details: http://www.gilligansisle.com/chat.html That's all for this month. The big news was the documentary, so definitely don't miss this one! Time to go help the Professor disarm this land mine they found in the lagoon. I'll wear my lucky charm around my neck just in case! "Smooth Sailing" Willy Gilligan Webmaster/President Gilligan's Island Fan Club http://www.gilligansisle.com
