Ahoy Mainlanders! Well here we are in April and we're still here on this tiny little island. Nothing much happening here except that the Skipper was fishing at the beach and caught a huge Yellowtail Tuna! We each ate about 2 pounds of it last night and we are stuffed silly! I guess we'll be having fish for the next week. We currently have 2,200 fan club members all around the world. If anybody can send us the theme from different countries we will add it to the page for all to hear. We finally got some Flash demo's for our main page! The very talented David B. and Neil Klotz have made excellent introductions to our site! You will need Flash on your computer (most browsers have it). Just go to our first page, sit back and relax! http://www.gilligansisle.com Flash designer Neil Klotz is a professional and is offering Flash and Web Design services for home or business. He offers good work and good rates! You can contact him at klotzne@hotmail.com Well if you are like most people you missed the Gilligan's Island Musical in San Diego, CA. Our Island corespondent Pete Salisbury summed it up nicely in a review. http://www.gilligansisle.com/musical.html He also runs a Publication called "The Skipper's Log" and just costs a stamp to join. http://www.gilligansisle.com/skippers-log/ Looking for a Gilligan's Island Video or book for that special someone? We have added a page for you to purchase all you need and the prices are cheap! http://www.gilligansisle.com/purchase.html A lot of folks have asked me how the castaways originally got rescued. You will find the summaries to the 3 TV movies here: http://www.gilligansisle.com/movies.html George Smith did it again! He's the guy who made the Voodoo Clay Sculptures I mentioned in February. Now he made a Totem Pole that is unbelievable! He is actually selling his sculptures now for $25 a piece or $175 for all 7. These are actually a pretty good price because he makes and paints them all by hand! Any collector would love to have a set of these! These are amazing! http://www.gilligansisle.com/voodoo.html Our fan club member Letha Longley was surfing the net and found these rubber stamps for the Skipper and Gilligan. They are pretty inexpensive. Go to http://www.rubbernation.com and click on TV Reruns near the bottom of the page to order yours. A new comic was sent to us by Rich Garcia and Michael Dunn and is called Gilligan Survivor. You can view it here along with all of our other Gilligan comics: http://www.gilligansisle.com/comics.html Fan Club member Srtidrick came up with a great idea for the page. It's a quote section! If anybody can let us know the best quotes used from the show we'll add them to our special section. We have some quotes already on our page like "The first thing I'll do when I get back is sink my teeth into a nice juicy steak." Let's all CHAT this Saturday! http://www.gilligansisle.com/chat.html Bob Denver starred in a movie just before the filming of Gilligan's Island. You can watch the pre-Gilligan on Thurs April 5 at 4:20am on Cinemax 2. An overprotective father has many problems coping with his free-spirited teen-age daughter. Well that's it for now. Mary Ann is making coconut seaweed soup (yuk) to go with our fish and I'm in charge of gathering the seaweed. Off to the beach!
