Ahoy Maties! Quote of the month: Professor: Gilligan, Benjamin Franklin is dead. Skipper: Exactly. Gilligan: He's dead? I didn't even know he was sick! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A short and sweet March edition of the Gilligan's Island Fan Club. Without further adeux, here we go! TV Land has Gilligan fever! They will air Gilligan's Island from 6:00pm to 7:00pm monday through Friday! Get your VCR's ready. You can finally complete your Gilligan's Island collection!!! To see what is playing and when, go here: http://www.tv-now.com/stars/bobden.html I mentioned in the last newsletter that a radio station held a contest to see which one could stay on a boat the longest. Mr. Howell won the radio contest for the boat! It came down to him and Ginger. He invited all the "castaways" for a ride in his new boat. (A three hour tour?) "The Skipper" was the first one voted out and he told me he didn't think the folks that had to spend several days together in the boat would be interested in a "Howell's" invitation! HA! (By Skipper) We now have an archive of all of our newsletters ever sent out. We will post each newsletter a month or so later than when current members will receive it. Some of the links are old and out dated, especially our original web site URL at the bottom of the page. http://www.gilligansisle.com/archive.html The owner of "Gilligan's Bar" has informed us that the bar is under new ownership and will no longer call it by the name of Gilligan. Not sure what they will name it or the theme. We will still leave the page up for some reason. http://www.gilligansisle.com/bar.html Fan club member Don has superimposed Mary Ann and Ginger in a Christmas theme. Very nice job, they almost look real! If any of your are this talented, please let us know. You can see his great work here: http://www.gilligansisle.com/photos.html Gilligan lyrics can also be found on Weird Al's 'Living in an Amish Paradise'. He's singing about living the Amish way and in one part he says, "No phones, no lights, no motorcars, not a single luxury, like Robinson Crusoe, it's as primitive as can be!" Member Stacey Let's all CHAT March 2: http://www.gilligansisle.com/chat.html Told you, short and sweet. Oh well, off to help Ginger make her famous "Fish Stew." Maybe this time she'll actually use fish! Talk to you next month. Willy Gilligan President/Webmaster Official Gilligan's Island Fan Club http://www.gilligansisle.com
