I couldn't wait any longer so I'll tell you where are new temporay site is
located. As you know our page has been down quite some time now, and I am
very upset that they didn't contact me to let me know in advance. I would of
has everything prepared for you before hand, but oh well. No scence crying
over spilled coconut milk. Anyways, you can find our page here:

This is a permanent site, but will soon be linked to our own domain. We are
now located on a fast server, so once you load the first pages, things 
should move along smoothly. The server is owned by Time Warner, so this is
the best and most reliable place to be stationed. Welcome aboard!!!

Bob Denver (Gilligan) pleaded no contest in a Princeton NJ courtroom to the 
charge of possessing marijuana. The plea agreement means Denver won't have 
to stand trial Sept. 3 on the misdemeanor charge, which accused him of 
possessing 1 1/2 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 

The fan club might not accept e-mail addresses from AOL and Web TV users as
the good people of these domains seem to cancel their accounts with their on
line provider and fail to tell us about it. When we send out 1,800 
newsletters and get over 100 fails from AOL and Web TV users, it really takes
it's toll on our man power. Please, if you decide to cancel your service and 
you will no longer have the e-mail address, or if your e-mail address 
changes, please let us know. (enough on that)

I made a booboo in our last newsletter. I referred Bob Denver as portraying
Dobie instead of Maynard G. Krebbs. Oops.  :-D

I was told that there is a song written by Wierd Al called UHF that sings a 
song about Gilligan. If anybody knows more about this, please let me know.

Folks have been asking me if Dawn Wells is living in Clearwater Florida. I
don't know.

"GILLIGAN’S ISLAND" REUNION TOUR ABOARD THE ODYSSEY


September 15, 1998, Washington, D.C.: Original cast members of the hit
tv show, "GILLIGAN’S ISLAND," reunite for a "three hour tour" aboard
Washington’s Odyssey Cruises to be honored by Women In Film & Video
(WIFV) with the American Icon Award for their contribution to popular
culture. Take a trip down memory lane with Bob Denver, (Gilligan) , Tina
Louise, (Ginger), Russell Johnson, (The Professor), and Dawn Wells,
(Mary Ann), on Tuesday, October 20th. Hosted by the Washington chapter
of WIFV, this once-in-a-lifetime event will help raise funding for the
non-profit organization’s professional development, education, and youth
outreach programs.

The public is invited to join the crew of the S.S. Minnow, as they risk
another "fateful trip" aboard the Odyssey for a scenic cruise along the
majestic Potomac River. The evening will feature the award ceremony,
video presentations, contests and much more. VIP guests will have a
professional photo opportunity with their favorite castaway at the
pre-launch reception. Dinner, dessert, beer and wine will be served.
Dress is black tie optional, or come as your favorite castaway. VIP
reception boarding time is 5:45 pm, general boarding at 6:00 pm. The
boat departs promptly at 7:00 pm. Complimentary parking is available.
Odyssey Cruises is located at 600 Water Street, SW, Gangplank Marina
near the Arena Stage.
