Ahoy There Maties! Welcome to the October edition of the "Gilligan's Island Fan Club." We are gearing up for a big Halloween party at the Howell's, and are finding some costumes that washed ashore quite useful. The Howell's are going to be Martha and George Washington, the Skipper will be a pirate, the Professor is dressing up as Sherlock Holmes, Ginger will be Cleopatra, Mary Ann will be a farm girl, and I'm gonna be a native headhunter. Should be a lot of fun! If any of you dress up as the castaways and would like to be added to our site, just send us a scanned picture and we'll put it up. Bob Denver (Gilligan) has just added his own site, and he calls it the "GILLIGAN Fan Club." Pretty nice page done by Darlene and her husband, and you can even e-mail the real Gilligan! Check out his page at: http://bobdenver.com/ Want to take a tour with four of the castaways? You can!!! If you live near Washington D.C., then you can set sail on another faithful trip. Hurry, as it sails October 20th! For more info go here: http://www.aproposmedia.com/gilligan/gilligan.htm We've added news about "Gilligan's Island on Baywatch." Coincidentally, you can see it for yourself this month! The show will air Tues, Oct 27th at 4:00pm USA Network eastern time. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/baywatch.html There is more Gilligan's Island news updates from our Island Corespondent Pete Salisbury at: http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/update.html Tina Louise (Ginger) be in a TV movie this month called "How to Commit Marriage" on the Encore's The Love Stories Channel. (never heard of that channel) Man! You folks on the mainland really enjoy your cable! There seems to be some confusion about the relocation of our new site. We are still going strong, it's just that the old server is shutting down. Our new URL is located at: http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/ We have changed our listing under Yahoo, Alta Vista and Webcrawler. If you find our old URL on any other site or search engine, please help us out and point them to our new location. The Professor is no longer a Trivia Manager, as he is too busy with his studies. Mary Ann will still be the trivia manager and the main contact for new members. In the last newsletter I made a mistake and said Princeton NJ instead of WV. It's getting harder and harder for me to remember the states from way over here in the middle of the pacific. Thanks to all of you that responded to the Weird Al UHF song, "Wild Thing" Isle Thing." We hope to have a realaudio clip next month. If any of you can make a .ra of that song, please let me know. There is a Gilligan's Island Golf course on the east coast somewhere and I've been trying to find info about this park. If any of you know the place, please let me know so I can spread the word. Flyers or scorecards from the park be great! We have a new midi on the page called "Under the Sea." I heard it and I thought that it might bring a nice tropical touch to the site. It's under the coconut on the main page. Due to popular request from Web TV users, we have added the FULL Gilligan's Island theme to our .wav area. The file is quite lengthy, so be prepared to wait a while until it loads. If I get requests, I can zip it up and make the file downloadable. It's here at: http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/wave.html More Gilligan's Island comics were found and you can see all of them here at: http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/comics.html There is a popular Internet song out called "Two Digits for a Date" sung to the tune of you know what. It's about the year 2000 mess. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/digits.html We have added episode summaries to our episode guide section. Now if you're not quite sure of an episode name, you'll see the descriptions next to the episode. We have also included all of the guests that visited the island along with their real names. http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/episode.html A new big word search has been added for your gaming enjoyment. You can view it here: http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/games/word1.html It's your turn to chat with each other! Chat will be this Friday and Saturday (Oct 9th and 10th) at the times below: Pacific Time = 7:00pm Mountain Time = 8:00pm Central Time = 9:00pm Eastern Time = 10:00pm http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/chat.html I really didn't think that there was all that much to write about this month, I guess I was wrong! Looks like it's time to say Aloha! The Skipper located the missing Japanese submarine and the Professor is almost finished decoding and translating the words so I can take it to Hawaii. I hope I don't mess it up! :-D "Smooth Sailing" Willy Gilligan Webmaster Gilligan's Island Fan Club http://home.san.rr.com/gilligan/
