Ahoy there! This is Gilligan and we all hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! The Howell's threw a nice Christmas party, and we celebrated New Years around a nice hot fire at the beach. No fireworks, but we lit some bamboo on fire. It was quite a site. Unfortunately when I lit the last bamboo shoot it got a little close to a palm tree and lit that on fire too! The Skipper and Professor quickly put it out and Skipper hit me with his hat and said, "Gilligan, you've done it again!" Before I begin, some people here wanted to say a few words. Professor: It is imperative that you send a rescue vessel soon. Ginger: Send my regards to Hollywood! Howell: Buy Acme! Gilligan: OK, and now I get to finish! FACTS about the 'Gilligan's Island Movie." Contrary to what you may have read on the internet, the movie is as far behind schedule as it ever was. Warner bros has changed their staff and everything is all bundled up. Hopefully we'll see the movie around the year 2000. Before the production even begins, they need to find a director. As for the cast, Sherwood mentioned about three years ago that he would like Jamie Kennedy and Brian Dennehy to play Gilligan and the Skipper, but that's as far as it got. There is no cast as of yet. There is talk that the dolls are now at Toy's R' Us, but I have not seen them there yet. From what I understand Scherwood Scwartz (producer from the show) is pulling the Professor doll stock as he is wearing the wrong colored shirt. (Interesting) We'll see if we can still find these. Howard Stern interviewed Tina Louise and we are waiting for the show to air this episode on TV. We'll inform you when it will be shown. After "Gilligan's Island" a western was made called "Dusty's Trial." Bob Denver starred in it and the show is almost exactly like Gilligan's Island except that it's on a wagon train in the old west. It airs on "TV Land" Saturday and Sundays at 10:00am. Don't know how long this will last. Dart Flip Cards are in production and should be available by the end of February. These are baseball cards with pictures of the castaways. We finally got LIVE video and are testing it out before we add some more.
